Authorities in New Jersey are investigating the deaths of a mother and her teen daughter who were killed over the weekend.
Malika Whiting, 40, and her 13-year-old daughter, Jairah Biggs, were fatally shot in their home in Trenton on Saturday, April 12.

Officers responded to the home at approx. 10:30pm after receiving a 911 call. Police found Jairah shot and killed in a third-floor bedroom, while her mother Malika was found dead from a gunshot wound on a staircase leading to the third floor. Authorities have not released any further details.
