If you purchased a movie ticket at a Regal Cinemas location in New York state between July 2023 and 2024, you may be due for some cash.
The theater company, which has over 35 locations in the state, has agreed to pay $2,500,000 in settlement fees to customers following a class action lawsuit claiming that they did not disclose that there was a booking fee for electronic tickets.
Customers who bought tickets from Regal’s website between July 31, 2023, to July 15, 2024 for any screening in New York state — including those at Regal Destiny USA in Syracuse — could be entitled to a portion of the settlement fund.
