Elkton resident’s complaint leads to seizure of gun, heroin/fentanyl, two arrests

ELKTON — Two men remained jailed Tuesday after their purported suspicious behavior in the backyard of a residence in an Elkton neighborhood triggered an investigation, which led to officers confiscating a handgun and suspect heroin mixed with fentanyl from one of the suspects and burglary tools from the other, according to Cecil County District Court records.

Investigators identified the suspects as Christopher Sembert, 33, of Charlestown and Joshua Parlier, 44, of Elkton.

The investigation leading to the arrests of Sembert and Parlier started shortly before 11 a.m. on Wednesday (April 9), when Elkton Police Department officers rushed to a residence in the unit block of Jesse Boyd Circle after a resident reported that she saw two men in hooded sweatshirts walking through her backyard and “looking around the fence line,” court records show…
