LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Parents with children in the Arkansas public school system had mixed reactions to the newly proposed grade school letter calculations, which put an emphasis on student performance in the state’s administered standardized test.
The Arkansas Teaching and Learning Assessment System, ATLAS, was administered to students for the first time last year.

It’s just one piece of the school grade system calculation. In addition to student performance on the test, an accountability formula will also measure school and district performance throughout the state.
