Actresses Liv and Mia Tyler recently shared their surprising story of discovering they were sisters on the “Sibling Revelry” podcast. The two, just 18 months apart in age, met at an Aerosmith concert when Liv was around 9.
Liv recalled being struck by Mia’s identical appearance – spiral perms, braces, pink lipstick, and matching Aerosmith concert outfits. “I was literally, like, looking in the mirror, seeing your double,” Liv told her sister and podcast host Kate Hudson.
Liv, raised by her mother, singer Bebe Buell, and Todd Rundgren, had always believed Rundgren was her father. Mia, on the other hand, grew up with Steven Tyler and Cyrinda Foxe.
After the concert, Liv questioned her mother, who tearfully revealed the truth. The sisters have remained close ever since.
Steven Tyler and Foxe divorced in 1987. Tyler later married and divorced Teresa Barrick, with whom he has two other children, Taj and Chelsea.
