Pair of Southern California deputies arrested after off-duty ‘domestic incident’ at restaurant

A pair of deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office were arrested in late March after a “domestic incident” at a restaurant that occurred while they were off-duty, Ventura County Sheriff Jim Fryhoff announced.

The media release issued by Sheriff Fryhoff Wednesday states that early in the morning of Mar. 30, two off-duty deputies – Anthony Malagon and Dylan Davis – were involved in what officials described as “an apparent domestic incident” at El Rey Cantina, located on Ventura Boulevard in Camarillo.

“An apparent domestic incident occurred where a security guard intervened and subsequently sustained injury,” VCSO’s media release reads. “[The guard] was treated at a local hospital.”
