WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl have been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured a woman Tuesday evening, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Police said Timothie Makie Joyner, 19, and Cimal Rashona Braxton, 17, were taken into custody after officers determined they were involved in a drive-by shooting that left a woman wounded.
Investigators said the woman was driving south on North Liberty Street near 16th Street around 5:19 p.m. when someone opened fire on her car. She managed to drive away and called 911.
