Drive-by shooting: Man, teen girl arrested after woman injured in Winston-Salem shooting

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl have been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured a woman Tuesday evening, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

Police said Timothie Makie Joyner, 19, and Cimal Rashona Braxton, 17, were taken into custody after officers determined they were involved in a drive-by shooting that left a woman wounded.

Investigators said the woman was driving south on North Liberty Street near 16th Street around 5:19 p.m. when someone opened fire on her car. She managed to drive away and called 911. Officers and EMS crews found her in the 900 block of Highland Avenue and took her to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening…
