Jacksonville International Airport plans 2,000-space, $92 million parking garage

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city issued a permit Monday for contractor Balfour Beatty Construction LLC to build the third Jacksonville International Airport parking garage at a project cost of $92 million, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported.

The six-level reinforced concrete parking garage will add 2,000 spaces next to the existing six-level daily parking structure at the airport.

Michael Stewart, who works with the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, said the project, along with the new concourse B, has been in the works for a while, especially since construction at the airport has been perpetually delayed following the economic downturn in 2008 and the COVID-19 pandemic…
