Judge orders acquittal of Mobile man charged with murder

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A judge on Wednesday ordered the acquittal a man charged with murder, ruling prosecutors had not presented sufficient evidence even to send it to the jury.

Mobile County Circuit Judge Michael Youngpeter’s ruling came after days of testimony related to a hail of bullets fired from one vehicle into another in February 2022. The gunfire, from multiple weapons, claimed the life of 19-year-old Keith Fredericks.

Iassac Josaih Parker, 21, of Mobile, was one of six people charged in the incident, which began with a bowling outing. According to testimony, the defendants left the bowling alley and followed another vehicle on Airport Boulevard to Cottage Hill Road…
