A Lake County man was arrested for battery after allegedly smacking his stepdaughter’s arm during an argument.
Officers responded to a disturbance at an undisclosed Lake County residence at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 10, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, they met with the complainant who indicated that an argument had occurred between the female victim and her stepfather, 64-year-old Timothy Art Couch.
During a conversation with Couch, he expressed frustration regarding the complainant’s decision to cut off the power to the residence while he was taking a shower. He claimed this issue had been ongoing, and it escalated to a physical confrontation this time. The officers asked for specifics about the altercation and were told the victim grabbed Couch’s neck during the argument, the report said.
