Resident’s stumble led to accidental shooting that struck North Texas school, police say

FRISCO, Texas — Police have released more details about how they believe a stray bullet hit a North Texas elementary school last month.

Police were called to Frisco ISD’s Hosp Elementary School the morning of March 27 after a stray bullet hit the school building in the 5000 block of Lone Star Ranch Parkway, shattering a classroom window. No injuries were reported in the incident, but students were released early from the school that day as a precaution.

Police said Wednesday detectives determined a woman who lived in the 1000 block of Gentle Wind Lane, just south of the school, thought someone was in her home, stumbled during her search and accidentally fired her gun. The woman wasn’t identified…
