Ski Patrol Uses Rope To “Extract” Drunk Snowboarder in Colorado

Who among us hasn’t gotten so drunk that we’ve passed out on the trail at a resort? (This is a joke, of course). One snowboarder at Keystone Resort in Colorado is now officially a member of that club, though. Ski patrol him found off of an embankment, and he was so intoxicated he couldn’t get back onto the main trail of his own volition, according to an account published in the Summit County Sheriff’s Office’s Justice Files . “The man was too intoxicated to return to the run himself and was unable to assist the patrollers in getting him back to safety,” the sheriff’s office said. “Ski Patrol set up an uphaul rope to extract the man who had become unconscious due to his high level of intoxication.” After he was rescued, the rider was brought to a local urgent care office, where he was treated.
