Broomfield police rescue small fox from window well

A Broomfield Animal Service officer rescued a fox on Tuesday after it was found trapped in a window well.

In body camera footage posted on X, an officer can be seen getting into the window well, grabbing the fox by the scruff of its neck and lifting it up and out of the well. According to the post, the officer handed the fox to another officer who carried it to the front of the home to be reunited with its family.

In the video the fox is seen freezing up, something Broomfield police explained is natural for foxes to do when they’re scared. Police encouraged anyone who finds an injured or trapped wild animal to call the Broomfield Police Department Animal Services Unit at 303-438-6400…
