Michelle Trachtenberg, known for roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Gossip Girl,” and “Harriet the Spy,” died from complications related to diabetes, the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed. She was 39.
Trachtenberg was found deceased in her New York City apartment on February 26th by her mother. While the cause and manner of death were initially undetermined due to the family’s religious objection to an autopsy, subsequent lab testing revealed diabetes-related complications as the cause. The manner of death was deemed natural.
