Tractor driver ejected through windshield, flown to hospital by medical helicopter

DOVER TOWNSHIP – Firefighters and medics from the Dover Fire Department responded to a report of a farmer who had been ejected from his tractor in the 5100 block of Crooked Run Road NW on Wednesday afternoon.

“I heard someone blaring their car horn, went down the hill, and saw someone crawling out of the ditch,” said Fred Winger, a nearby landowner.

Winger said the driver of the tractor, who was hauling a manure spreader, didn’t want any help. He wasn’t sure who called 911…
