Biltmore Village’s Corner Kitchen close to reopen after Helene, with hidden time capsules

ASHEVILLE – Inside Corner Kitchen’s walls, time capsules are hidden, sealing in memories from the restaurant and the city’s best and worst times.

Owners Joe Scully, Vanessa Salomo, and Kevin and Amy Westmoreland are in the middle of a monthslong renovation to restore Corner Kitchen at 3 Boston Way in the historic Biltmore Village. The restaurant flooded when Tropical Storm Helene raised the Swannanoa River to a record 27.33 feet.
