The National Weather Service’s Los Angeles/Oxnard CA branch said winds could hit 45mph in some places, causing damage to infrastructure and making driving hazardous . It has released an advisory that runs from Wednesday at 5.09pm to Thursday at 11pm.

The service warned: “Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
