Warminster man accused in drug OD death sees his charges proceed to county court

There was no dispute in a courtroom Wednesday that methadone was responsible for the death of a 57-year-old Middletown woman last year. But who obtained the drugs that killed her?

At a preliminary hearing for Thomas Hall, Bucks County prosecutor Tom Gannon contended that the 55-year-old Warminster man provided Gisela Leair with three bottles of the liquid form of the prescription painkiller at her request.

Defense attorney Michael Parlow countered that the drugs could have belonged to Leair, citing her autopsy report, which, he said, stated she also had a prescription for liquid methadone in her name…
