Fired employee brings chainsaw to Carlisle business, forcing workers to flee: police

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — An Elliotsburg man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly bringing a chainsaw to a manufacturing business that fired him, according to the Carlisle Police Department.

Richard Sauder, 46, is accused of entering his former place of work, located in the 1200 block of Ritney Highway, with a chainsaw Monday after he was fired earlier that same day.

Police said Sauder used the chainsaw to damage company property outside before entering the business. Once inside, Sauder allegedly waved around the chainsaw and damaged more company property while employees were present…
