Mobile man arrested and charged with attempting to elude, drug possession

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Mobile man was arrested after allegedly refusing to stop for a traffic stop, News 5 has learned.

According to a Mobile Police Department news release, officers were in the area of Summerville Street and Clinton Street when they saw a speeding car.

Despite officers’ “audible sirens and visual blue lights,” the driver would not stop, the release said.

“After a short pursuit, the subject terminated the pursuit in a neighboring driveway,” the release said.
