HV SPCA: 64 sick cats living in filthy bus rescued in Westtown, owner charged

A woman is facing animal cruelty charges in Orange County after dozens of sick cats were found living in deplorable conditions inside a bus.

The Hudson Valley SPCA gave News 12 photos of the horrific conditions showing the feces-covered interior of the bus found on Corncob Lane in Westtown last week with the animals inside.

They issued a statement online, saying “This is by far the most complicated rescue the Hudson Valley SPCA has done to date. These cats came from a New York City apartment where the woman was evicted. At that time, she had over 100 cats and stuffed them all in a bus using a moving company and took off. We recently located her and acted swiftly to remove these cats from what was clearly a death sentence.”…
