F or local foodies who are looking for a taste of the Treasure Coast, a food tour is the perfect way to cover a lot of ground in one afternoon. Treasure Coast Culinary Tours offers various walking tours in areas like Stuart, Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, and Sebastian to try bites from some of the hottest local eateries.
Owner and tour guide Melisa Alicea partners with a rotating list of restaurants, pre-ordering tastings at each restaurant for diners to enjoy. Diners can choose from various tours, including Flavorful Fort Pierce, Dining Around Downtown (Vero Beach), and the new Scrumptious Stuart tour, which just launched in January and makes stops at up to six eateries, including Taco Shack, Stack Burgers & Bourbon, The Roasted Record, Castronovo Chocolate, and Ellie’s Downtown Deli.
“I try to order items that are different, so most people get to try at least one food they’ve never had before,” says Alicea. “I also give tips on hidden foodie gems that are off the beaten path. I throw in some history and fun facts about each city as well.”…
