Man who fooled elderly Millbrae woman into signing her home away sentenced

(KRON) — A San Mateo County Superior Court judge scolded a man Wednesday and sentenced him to serve four years in prison for tricking an elderly woman into signing an ownership deed for her Millbrae home.

The judge told 50-year-old Shelby David Einspahr that his “deliberate scheme” was carried out against a “vulnerable victim,” the district attorney’s office said. The Redwood City man was found guilty by a jury of eight felonies during his February trial.

In the summer of 2022, Einspahr duped the victim into signing paperwork while she was living in an elderly care home. Einspahr and a co-conspirator “misrepresented what they were doing with the victim’s home and convinced her to sign papers while lying to her,” the DA’s office wrote…
