Which food services passed or failed their health inspection: March 30 – April 5

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Health Department released inspection reports for restaurants checked from March 30 through April 5.

One food service received an unsatisfactory inspection:

  • Koto Japanese Steak House – 9331 Destiny Usa Drive, Syracuse

This restaurant received nine violations, with none in critical condition.

Food not protected in general: The inspector found a scoop used in the cornstarch container with its handle touching the product. This was corrected at the time of inspection.

Poor sanitary design, construction, installation of equipment and utensils: The inspector found one rice bin in dry storage had a lid in poor repair, and the top portion of the rice bin lacked a lid. The preparation cooler at the cookline had gaskets in poor repair, and cardboard was seen lining some of the preparation surfaces and shelves at the cookline, which was not an easily cleanable surface…
