Another Texas cold front due in Houston. Here’s when we could we get severe weather

A sluggish cold front is poised to bring to Texas some strong thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and large hail late Friday and into the holiday weekend. Storm chances remain low in Houston for now, but they could return by the time Sunday’s Easter egg hunts get underway.

Storms miss Houston until weekend

Thursday is shaping up to be a dry day for anyone traveling around Houston or all of Texas, for that matter.

Temperatures in the Houston metro area should begin to inch higher as breezy southeasterly winds kick up. Gusts could blow as strong as 25 to 35 mph at times, helping to pull in a muggy air mass from the Gulf of Mexico ahead of an approaching cold front.
