North Arlington’s Viridian neighborhood moves to homeowner control

Viridian, a 2,300-acre master-planned community in north Arlington, is transitioning from developer control to homeowner control, marking a significant change in its history and its future.

David DeVries, a longtime Viridian resident and an Arlington Realtor, said the move will give homeowners control of the day-to-day running of everything in the community.

DeVries is chairman of the Viridian Municipal Management District, a political subdivision of the state that is subject to continuing supervision by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
