Texas & New Mexico Weather Alert: Wind Gusts Up to 65 MPH Through 8 PM Thursday

Amarillo, TX – Dangerous wind conditions are forecast to impact parts of Texas and New Mexico through Thursday evening, with gusts reaching up to 65 mph and dust reducing visibility across major highways.

According to the National Weather Service in Amarillo and El Paso, a High Wind Warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. CDT/MDT Thursday for Cimarron County in Oklahoma, Dallam and Hartley counties in the Texas Panhandle, and multiple highland and basin regions in New Mexico, including Sierra, Sacramento, and Gila areas.
