Albuquerque fire crews respond to structure fire, no injuries reported

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a fire at an apartment in the 400 block of Fruit Ave. Thursday morning. AFR says no one was injured, but one cat was found deceased.

Around 5:20 a.m. AFR was dispatched for calls of a structure fire. When crews arrived on scene they reported a fire coming from one apartment. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within ten minutes. AFR says damage to the structure was a total loss to the involved apartment. No firefighters or civilians were inured, but one cat was found deceased. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
