Las Cruces mother arrested, accused of repeatedly beating her son

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — Las Cruces police arrested a mother in connection with the repeated physical abuse of her son.

According to police documents, 32-year-old Lauren Pierce was arrested and charged with three counts of abuse of a child, as police believe she repeatedly beat her 12-year-old son.

The abuse was first reported on Sunday by the boy’s father, who is an active military member stationed overseas. The father called Las Cruces police to tell them his son had hidden himself in a closet and called him to tell him he had been beaten by Pierce…
