Following a report that human remains were found in a remote and rugged area of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park on March 18, an update on the situation has been released.
According to the April 16 update from the park, the remains were recovered on April 13, confirmed to be those of Jordan Marsters, 31 and of Denver. Marsters was reported missing by family members on February 15, with Marsters later linked to an abandoned vehicle found at the park.
While the remains of Marsters were discovered last month, the extreme nature of the wilderness area where the remains were located made them difficult to recover, with officials left unable to confirm the identification of who the remains belonged to at that time…
