A Sioux Falls native who began his career as a bedside nurse has been named the new CEO of Sanford Health’s Sioux Falls region.
Andy Munce was chosen for the role after serving in an interim capacity the past few months. He succeeds Paul Hanson, who stepped down from the role in January.
For Munce, who grew up on the west side and graduated from Roosevelt High School, the CEO position represents the latest in a growing succession of leadership positions within Sanford Sioux Falls since he began his career in 2004 as a bedside registered nurse supporting patients after heart and vascular surgeries.
“We have a lot to be proud of here at Sanford Health, and it’s really built on the amazing team we have,” Munce said. “We’ve done really great work in how we care for patients and provide care close to home.”…
