What prompted chase on I-71: Sheriff

STRONGSVILLE , Ohio (WJW) — An overnight police chase ended on I-71 in Strongsville and shut down the interstate for about an hour while police handled the scene.

FOX 8 video shows the suspect’s vehicle up against a guardrail and the driver’s door open along I-71 northbound near Pearl Road.

According to officials, the Medina County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol were involved in the chase that took place shortly before 1 a.m. on Thursday.
