Lancaster County prison inmate found deceased in cell from fentanyl toxicity

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– An inmate at Lancaster County Prison was pronounced dead after he was found unresponsive by a corrections officer on Tuesday, April 15.

The Lancaster County Coroner’s office said it responded to the prison at 7:37 a.m. for a cardiac arrest situation. An inmate, identified by the coroner’s office as 27-year-old Chaz Lowery, of Hanover, was found unsresponsive in his cell.
