NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man wanted in connection with a deadly stabbing outside a Madison elementary school has been arrested.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said Candido Rubio Perez was taken into custody by deputy U.S. Marshals and officers outside a high-rise apartment complex in Madison Thursday.

Investigators believe Rubio Perez stabbed 52-year-old Niurka Alfonso-Acevedo to death on Monday outside Chadwell Elementary School. Authorities believe Rubio Perez, her estranged husband, was waiting for her as she arrived at work. Neighbors near the school called 911 after hearing sounds of an attack.
