(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff is investigating after a body was found in Placerville. Investigators believe it is the body of 75-year-old Somboun Sayasane, who was reported missing in December of last year.
According to a SCSO spokesperson, Sayasane was found on Old Toll Road after being murdered by his roommate, who has been identified as 31-year-old Benjamin Dougherty, who is now in custody.

SCSO said that the roommate’s father, Robert Dougherty, 74, helped dispose of the body and is also in custody as an accessory.
