A Winfield man finds himself front and center in a federal case after being charged with preparing more than 50 phony tax returns. Hailing from the suburbs of Chicago, Cedrick Taylor, 40, is accused of concocting a scheme that involved falsifying returns to decrease tax liabilities and to unjustly inflate refunds, as per the indictment unveiled in the U.S. District Court in Chicago.
