New six-hole golf course by Smyers, Craig & Coyne opens in Edmond, Oklahoma

The golf design firm of Smyers, Craig & Coyne has completed a six-hole golf course at Graves Golf Club in Edmond, Oklahoma. The course is part of an extensive teaching academy constructed on 80 acres of the former Coffee Creek Golf Course that closed in 2017 .

Architect Colton Craig recently joined forces with long-time designer Steve Smyers and writer/editor Tom Coyne to form the design firm. Craig now lives adjacent to the practice facility at Graves Golf Club, where the course can be played three times to complete an 18-hole loop that measures 6,578 yards with a par of 70. In a media release announcing the opening, Craig said the course is “characterized by striking geometric features and distinctive rectangular bunkering.”…
