BRANDON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Brandon officials broke ground on a new hotel on April 17.
Officials said construction is underway on the Hilton Home2 Suites hotel on Stribling Lane. The four-story, 99-room facility will offer extended-stay amenities for visitors, said Sunny Desai, CEO of Desai Companies.
“As soon as site work is complete, we can start working on the foundation, so construction could begin four to six weeks from now,” Desai said. “About 10 years ago, I approached the city about trying to build a hotel here, and we just couldn’t get the brand approval. But we kept at it, because some of these good things take time. I’ve really enjoyed working with the city.”
