COLLIN COUNTY, Texas — Frisco drivers should prepare for daily lane closures along the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) through Saturday, April 19, as part of the ongoing DNT widening project.
The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) says the closures are necessary for road work aimed at improving traffic flow and accommodating regional growth.
The following daytime closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily:
- Southbound DNT: Right lane closed between Stonebrook Parkway and Warren Parkway.
- Northbound and Southbound DNT: Left lane closed between Gaylord Parkway and Cotton Gin Road.
- Southbound DNT: Right lane closed between PGA Parkway and Fields Parkway.
- Northbound DNT: Right lane closed between John Hickman Parkway and Stonebrook Parkway.
The DNT widening project includes plans to add a fourth lane in each direction between the Sam Rayburn Tollway and U.S. 380. The additional lane should help ease increasing traffic demands due to rapid population growth in Collin and Denton counties.
