NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Consultant Troy Henry is celebrating a major win in his battle to reinstate an $8 million-per-year cleaning contract in the French Quarter, though City Council members caution the legal dispute over the deal is not over.
Workers from IV Waste were out Thursday (April 17) morning sweeping Bourbon Street clean, a job they’ve been performing for five months, during New Year’s Day, Super Bowl, and Mardi Gras revelry. That service is set to end August 1 after Mayor LaToya Cantrell opted to reinstate the original contract with Henry Consulting.
