Lawmakers have advanced a bill to make a Clark County property tax increase permanent. Voters approved the proposal nearly 30 years ago.
The Senate approved SB451 by a 17-4 vote on Wednesday. It would prevent the 0.2% property tax assessment used to hire Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Deputies from ending next year.
