An 8-year-old California girl has been found after she was abducted in Riverside County, around 100 miles east of Los Angeles, according to an Amber Alert issued by the state’s Highway Patrol on behalf of the Desert Hot Springs Police Department (DHSPD).
Nova Landeros was abducted on Thursday by her father, 33-year-old Oscar Landeros, but in a report of the incident shared with Newsweek by the DHSPD, the child was rescued this morning unharmed.
What To Know
At about 1:30 a.m. Friday morning, Landeros’ vehicle was seen traveling on the I-10 freeway near the city of Beaumont. Per the report, Landeros refused to stop for officers resulting in a vehicle pursuit that ended in Palm Desert at I-10 and Monterey Avenue.
Nova has since been returned to her mother while her father was arrested for numerous charges including child abduction and child endangerment, the DHSPD’s report added…
