FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A national study has placed several Central California counties among the top regions in the United States for fatal hit-and-run crashes.
According to federal transportation data analyzed over a five-year period, Kern County ranks 14th, with Fresno County at 15th, Merced County at 16th, Stanislaus County at 19th, Tulare County at 22nd, and San Joaquin County at 23rd.
