Charlotte libraries to temporarily close

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — All Charlotte public libraries will temporarily close their doors today and remain closed through Monday, April 21.

The closure will allow library staff to complete a comprehensive update of their internal software systems. During this period, patrons will be unable to return physical materials to any library location.

Library officials have confirmed that no late fines will accrue during the closure period. Additionally, all digital services—including e-books, audiobooks, and online research databases—will remain fully accessible to cardholders through the library’s website and mobile app…
