With K-9’s help, officers arrest man with multiple active warrants

MARSHALL COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A K-9 officer with the Chapel Hill Police Department helped law enforcement arrest a man with multiple active warrants Thursday.

Law enforcement personnel with both the Chapel Hill Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress on Overland Drive. Authorities discovered the suspect, Patrick Leach, fled the scene on foot into a nearby wooded area.

K-9 Lyra was deployed to aid in the search and helped successfully find Leach, who had active warrants for aggravated domestic assault and interference with an emergency call. Leach was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and vandalism in connection with this incident…
