SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect fatally shot by San Diego police in Golden Hill Monday following a miles-long pursuit, as well as the officers involved.
The incident began around 3:20 p.m. in the area of Sanger Place and Blanche Street in San Ysidro. Authorities had responded to a call reporting an armed man who had fired his weapon into the ground after getting into a verbal argument with a bicyclist, per the sheriff’s office.
The bicyclist had reportedly left the area when the suspect fired. It is not yet known what led up to the altercation between the two.
