Man admitted to killing Kei’Mani Latigue, charging records claim

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – New court filings on Friday allege the man accused of killing his 13-year-old daughter, Kei’Mani Latigue, admitted to authorities that he killed her.

Updated affidavits filed on April 18 allege Darnell Jones, who also goes by Darnell Ogletree, told investigators he dragged the 13-year-old’s body involuntarily to the vacant house on Miami Street in Toledo where he ultimately killed her. The charging documents go on to say Jones admitted to police that he cut her neck with a bladed tool. The updated filings still do not detail a possible motive in the 7th grader’s murder.

Jones had his first court appearance Friday morning where a judge set his bond at $4 million at no 10%. He’s charged with murder, abduction and felonious assault in Toledo Municipal Court. With the new filings on Friday, Jones is scheduled to be back in court on Monday morning…
