A local entity tasked with helping the city of Shreveport battle blight, sell or develop vacant properties and spur revitalization is looking for its first director.
The new director will be the only paid staffer of SIRA, the Shreveport Implementation and Redevelopment Authority. The organization is not an arm of the city but will be a partner with it.
SIRA was created by an act of the Louisiana Legislature in 2015 but has become a fully functioning organization just within the past year.
