CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — More than $132,000 in cash was seized when Charlotte authorities raided Star’s Arcade, an alleged illegal gaming business found on Brookshire Boulevard.
The operation went down earlier this month on April 9, when CMPD’s Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Unit, backed by SWAT and several patrol divisions, executed a search warrant along Brookshire Blvd. The bust was the result of an investigation that began in late 2024.
Inside, investigators found 136 illegal gaming stations, over 36 grams of suspected marijuana, four firearms — including an AR-15 rifle — and cash totaling $132,077.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, unlicensed individuals were providing armed security at the location. Three of them were arrested for acting as unlicensed armed guards. Two customers were also cited for misdemeanor gaming violations…
