62-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot on Indianapolis’s Near Southwest Side, IMPD Detains Person of Interest

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is currently investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 62-year-old man on the city’s near southwest side. As reported by FOX59, the incident occurred Thursday afternoon, and upon arrival at the 2000 block of W. Morris Street, officers found Forrest Tab Grant suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite being rushed to an area hospital, criptical was the condition in which the victim was reported initially. However, Grant was pronounced dead shortly after being transported. The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Forrest Tab Grant, with WTHR confirming the time of the call to officers at around 1:30 p.m. yesterday.
